Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has heaped praise on club duo Njabulo Blom and Kgaogelo Sekgota following their selection in to the national team.

The pair have both been instrumental in helping Amakhosi get back within touching distance of the tittle chase as the DStv Premiership comes to a break.

Njabulo Blom had a shaky start to the season, only managing to complete just one full 90 minute-game from Chiefs' first five league matches but appears to have turned a new leaf.

The midfielder has been a solid rock in the heart of Amakhosi midfield in recent weeks, playing the full 90 minutes in all five of Amakhosi's last league matches.

His teammate, Kgaogelo Sekgota has also had his breakthrough season with the Naturena outfit, collecting a Man of the Match award against AmaZulu in the first semi-final leg of the MTN8.

He was hailed by Zwane is the 'star player' in the squad at the start of October.

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos included the pair in his final 23-man squad to take on Mozambique and Angola on 17 and 20 November, respectively.

"We’re obviously happy for Sekgota and Njabulo," said Zwane on the players’ call up.

"For me, they deserve it, they have been doing very well. It’s one of those [situations] where we have to help them try to be even more focused and to improve their game as well.

"As much as they’ve been doing well. You want them to always bring their A-game.

"They’ve done well so far and we’ll keep on encouraging them to always give their best and now they are rewarded by getting national team call-ups, which is very important for their individual careers."

Both Blom and Sekgota have been voted into Amakhosi’s starting eleven for Saturday's Carling Black Label clash against Orlando Pirates, scheduled for 12:00 kick-off at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

The Bafana Bafana squad will report for national team camp on Sunday, 13 November.
