SuperSport United midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has shed more light on his surprise exit from Orlando Pirates and settling in at SuperSport United.

Ndlovu ended his three year-long stay with the Buccaneers mid-September but the midfielder has admitted that leaving Mayfair  wasn’t an easy request to make.

"It’s obviously difficult [to hand in a transfer request] but if you do it with manners – not fight [the club's hierarchy], it’s possible," Ndlovu explained.

"And if you’ve never maybe bothered the club or did something that might insult the club, it becomes a bit easier.

"It reflects to you as a human being, that you’ve been behaving, you’ve been good. You’ve served the club well and now you’re asking them nicely."

The 26-year-old joined Matsatsantsa on a one-year deal and has played every single match since his arrival.

"Obviously with a one year deal it becomes very difficult because a lot of things need to change, a lot of things need to go down. For me it was a restart type of thing. I really needed that restart."

With four wins in their last five games, SuperSport United are currently one of the most dangerous team in the league, only Mamelodi Sundowns has a better league record with five wins from five.

Ndlovu is hoping to help the side by replicating the form that got won the PSL Young Player of the Season and the Midfielder of the Season awards while at Maritzburg United.

"At the moment for me it’s just a restart. It’s a restart for me and my career and try to reach the standard I’ve raised. At the moment I’m working on that. I’m happy that I have some games and the team has been doing very well. I’m happy," added Ndlovu.

SuperSport United will have a chance to make it five wins from five when they host Swallows on Sunday.
